This community centers the different needs of elementary-aged children and their families to belong, believe, and be strengthened to follow Jesus together.
In the fall, Food, Fun and Faith (FFF) meets the first Sunday of the month from 5–7 p.m. for free play, dinner, and interactive faith formation, at Start at Zero’s Play Café (5546 Troost Avenue).
Families are also equipped with resources to lead an “at home” experience of FFF once a month, and share what they learned at the following month’s FFF. Over the next year, FFF is journeying through Justice Journey for Kids with the hope of empowering families to live out faith in Jesus.
Our Core Team (Rebecca Marure, Claire McClun and Kathy Rodgers) will also host Play for All on Troost's playground the third Monday of the month from 4:15-5 p.m. We plan to share dinner afterward for a casual, low-structure way to build community with FFF — depending on weather, pack a picnic to eat on the playground, or grab a meal at a nearby restaurant.
FFF: September 6, October 4, November 1, and December 6 (No weather back-up dates.)
PLAY FOR ALL: September 21, October 19, November 16, with weather back-up dates of September 28, October 26, and November 30.
This year, FFF families are journeying together through Justice Journey for Kids (JJ4K) — a discipleship resource exploring God’s heart for diversity, justice, and belonging. See the full list of topics and learn more at covchurch.org/justicejourney
